CHESTNUTS PRIMARY SCHOOL

Compliments, complaints and concerns

Here at Chestnuts Primary School we strive to provide a rich environment for children to learn.  We care about our children and families and want to hear about any concerns or compliments you as a parent or carer may have.

We welcome all compliments in any size, shape or form.  You can compliment us by letter, email, phone or just tell us in person! Thank you in advance.

We work very hard to build positive relationships with all parents and keep communication open to resolve any concerns raised.  If you are a parent or carer with a concern about your own or another child, we ask that you first speak to your child’s class teacher.  In our experience, most issues are resolved at this level.

Should your concern remain unresolved, you can take further action by speaking to the Deputy Head Teacher or Head Teacher.  To do this you can make an appointment at the school office, write a letter or email [email protected] for the attention of Carole Newton (Deputy Head Teacher) or Katie Horwood (Head Teacher).  We will respond as soon as possible within 10 working days.

If your concern is still not resolved to your satisfaction, the next step will be to contact the Chair of Governors in writing.

Our full complaints policy is available below or you can request a copy from the school office.

The Government website gives guidance about how you can make a complaint www.gov.uk/complain-about-school.

Should your child have SEND and you wish to make a complaint, please see our SEND information report.
