Children from Reception to Year 6 from all school are welcome.(I am sorry but we can not take Nursery aged children)
Holiday Play Scheme is just one important element of our child care provision. The scheme enables parents/carers to drop off their children at 8:00am and collect at 5:45pm during the school holidays . The club is staffed by our own school staff so the children already know them well from working with them in school. It operates on our school site which means a smooth transition from term time to holiday time. Places MUST be pre-booked as we unable to accept casual admissions due to pressure on numbers. On a daily basis the children will be provided with healthy breakfast, mid morning and mid afternoon snacks with sandwiches served at around 4pm. Please make sure you give your child a healthy packed lunch. Here at Chestnuts we run our own registered child care provision offering wrap around child care for primary school aged children. This means we offer child care for 48 weeks a year. All our 'Extended Services' provisions at Chestnuts are registered with Ofsted. If you need help in sorting out the finances for our child care provision then please don't hesitate to come and talk to our School Business Manager. (Ofsted Registration Number: EY348142 for child care vouchers)
The emphasis of our Play Scheme is on providing a nurturing, friendly and happy holiday times with a balance between active, sporty exercise and more focused creative activities, indoor games and outdoor games.
If you are interested in applying for a place in our May Play Scheme details and fee structures are available from the school office - please fill out our online application form.Our Play Scheme is extremely popular and places are limited, which means we encourage parents to sign up well in advance of needing the place.
Activities
We provide activities such as :
- Cooking/ Baking
- Swimming ( On Wednesdays - £2 per session )
- Arts and Crafts
- Sports Activities
- Park Visits
- Movie and popcorn in school
Food
Sample Menu for Breakfast

- Cereal (Cornflakes, Shreddies or Weetabix)
- Toast ( Jam or Butter)
- Fruit Juice
There are no limits on what the children are able to choose.

Fees
£30 per day. There is an additional cost for trips depending on the type of trip booked.
