At Chestnuts Primary School we believe wholeheartedly in a broad, balanced and creative curriculum. We believe that children learn best when they are happy and engagaed in their learning. 

Our Curriculum intent

"We want children to leave Chestnuts with a love of learning. We want them to understand the uniqueness of each subject and have a secure knowledge base in every subject. We teach subjects discretely to ensure that children understand the part that each subject plays in life. Despite each subject being taught discretly, we weave knowledge across the subjects to allow children to develop schemata accross the curriculum."
